The IEEE Gaming, Entertainment, and Media (GEM) conference is excited to invite artists, researchers, academics, and industry professionals and innovators to showcase their exhibits, performances and demos at IEEE GEM 2024 Conference, where creativity meets technology, and innovation takes center stage.

The IEEE GEM 2024 provides a unique stage for artists to showcase their cutting-edge exhibits and interactive demos, blending artistry and technology to captivate a diverse audience of engineers, researchers, and professionals.

Those who have a performance that pushes the boundaries of interactive experiences, GEM 2024 is the right venue to present it! From immersive installations to engaging live demonstrations, submissions that explore the intersection of art and engineering are welcome.

Selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their contribution at the IEEE GEM 2024 conference, gaining exposure to a global audience and actively engage industry and academics in a conversation that challenges and expands the views of the society on technology, games, entertainment, and media. Researchers and practitioners from a variety of research areas including Games, Media, VR/AR/XR, Creative Arts, Design, Social Sciences, Humanities, and other disciplines are encouraged to submit their engaging demos.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions for this category should be uploaded as a single PDF (8MB. Max) with the file name IEEE GEM 2024 Demo LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME.pdf to the Artwork, Performances and Demos track.

The submission package should include: 

  • CV of Artist or Art Collective (3 pages max), Portfolio or Webpage of academic group or industry proposer 

  • Project Title.

  • Project Abstract. Contains a description of the project (400 words max) 

  • 8 still images (jpg, png, gif) 

    • and/or

  • 1 Video. five minutes or less (mp4) (link only) 

  • Technical Specifications. To showcase the project live (2 pages max)

  • Submission deadline: March 22, 2024 April 5, 2024

  • Notification of acceptance: April 19, 2024

  • Registration (and final material submission): T.B.A.
